Hey all,
It is confirmed. Our guys from Street Drum Corps are playing the Prague City Festival on June 29th, 2o12. The time they are playing is 1.00 am – 1.50 am.
Yeah, I know. It’s really late, but look at the bright side. There is nobody playing after them, except for DJ’s. But that only means it’s gonna be a party afterwards. And who knows, maybe they will party with us as well
I will be going to this festival and maybe get some great shots to show to the people who can’t make it to the festival. I will be adding a review of the gig, even without new photos.
So, please be a little more patient with us

I know it’s been a while, but Dutch Yell Squad is finally back!!!! It took me a bit longer to get myself organized. And honest to god, I’m still not there, but I find myself disconnected to the world of SCD. I’m gonna be way more active, so why not post it here as well. So. From now on I will try to update more regularly and repost some of the tweets the guys put out. Add more reviews, photos and videos.
Again if any of you have things to add to this site please email me and you will get all the credit.
Also I’m looking for people who can help me with the site. I will add a page later on. If you are interested in helping me don’t hesitate to email me.
For now, this is all I will leave you with. Thank you for your patience!

To everyone,
I’m very sorry I haven’t been updating this website for a while. I could give you the usual excuses that I didn’t have time, but that wasn’t really the right one.
Lately, I have been changing my life. I have a new job and I’m gonna move soon. I’ve been changing a lot of things. Even my point of view. The real reason why I haven’t updated yet is because there is really no new news yet of Street Drum Corps. So, I didn’t see a point to update posts with what they were doing. The guys have a private life as well as us and the tweets that they are posting on twitter is there private stuff. I don’t see the use of posting them here as well.
I hope you understand and I promise I will start updating as soon as I know news about their lifes as artists.

Me and Angela arrived in Santa Barbara by bus early in the morning. We walked to the meeting place of promo first. There I met up with a lot of the American echelon. It took us awhile till we finally know where to go to do out promo and we hit a few places, like the beach and some parking places. When we were done we went to the venue. There weren’t a lot of people there yet and I asked the security guard if he knew if SDC was in the venue already. He actually asked it for me, which was nice. He told me they were busy and I thanked him and walked around for a bit. A few moments had past and I saw familiar faces. A lot of the Europeans had come to this show as well. Which was kinda a reunion.
I had the I love all access VIP thing. Only because I wanted to know what it was. We got in earlier and there was some food and drinks set up for us. A few friends of mine also had the VIP thing and I was glad that I wasn’t alone there. We just hang out there. We received a goodie bad and after what felt like hours 30STM showed up. We got in line to take a photo with the guys and when it was my turn Jared said he’d just seen a video of me and I asked what video. He told me I had a Triad on my forehead and I was at one of their shows. Shannon told be to stand next to him between one sick brother and one “Good” brother. Whatever that means?? We took the photo and I walked away. When everyone was done Jared stayed behind to answer a few questions. He went up to the venue and we could go to the merch booth. There I bought my first SDC hoodie, which we didn’t have in Europe. When looking around I saw Adam and Bobby. I walked over to them and said hi. They gave me a big hug and I presented the banner I made with all the yellsquad logos on it. Bobby really liked it and even though I didn’t want to give it to them first I caved in and said they could have it. I also let them see my Dutch SDC Flag.
I wanted to talk to them longer, but it was time to go inside the venue. So, I returned to my friends and found a spot at the barrier. I put my flag on the barrier for SDC to see and Scot walked on stage and I yelled at him. When he saw me he waved and saw the flag. I guess Tyler was in a bad mood, cause he didn’t look excited at all. He stayed in the background the whole time too. I finally met Justin and said that next time he had to come to Europe as well. Hopefully he does come. Adam came on stage to check everything and because it was still light out I took some great photos of the guys.
Finally the show started with “Victory”. As I knew it I started drumming along with them. The people around me thought I was crazy and I heard one of them say that I was more excited to see SDC then 30STM. Which was totally true!! As usually I sang along with the songs. Bobby even went over to me and sang into my eyes. I loved every moment of it. When the played “I Miss You” I was in heaven again. I really love that song. When the song ended I was waiting for “The Little Ones”, but Adam was gone. Frank left soon after and I just knew that the show was over. I couldn’t believe that because 30STM was late SDC had to shorten their setlist. I guess SDC was mad too, cause they didn’t stick around after doing “Vox Populi”. Which in my opinion is better when SDC joins in live then without.
Setlist Santa Barbara:
Victory
Play On It
Marry Me
Knock Me Out
I Miss You

We arrived in Zürich really early. We were the first ones there. I had trouble finding a parking spot anywhere near the venue. Finally I just put my car somewhere where you can only park for 2 hours only. I just went back every 2 hours to fill the meter.
The crew had to put every piece of equipment through the front door. We saw everything go inside and a lot of stuff coming back out right away. It was the smallest venue of this tour.
In the queue we made sure about the mission Tomo has put upon us. We made sure everyone in the first few rows knew about the rocking out from start to end and if we were lucky and got the crowd go nuts we might get “Stranger in a Strange land” and maybe a surprise.
When I started to hand out promo Elise started to do the war paint. When there were a couple of bitches who thought they could go in front of us, but Eddy came out and I asked him if he could do something. He said we could go in sooner, but he couldn’t get it done. They wouldn’t allow us in sooner, but he was at the barrier and held our places there. We all managed to get barrier, because of him. Thank you Eddy!!!
We rocked out from start to end literally. From the first seconds that SDC came on. All through Car Park North. Till the last second of 30STM.
With SDC starting I had mixed feelings, because it was the last gig of the tour and I would miss them very much. I sang along with every single song and when SDC sang “I Miss You” we all put up banners saying “We will Miss You”. Also when they finished their set we held up the banners again. I received a setlist from Brian.
Car Park North again was boring and I didn’t feel well, but I managed to squeeze more energy out to have fun than I thought. After a couple of songs Jared ran on stage with CPN and jumped up and down like a little kid. Screaming “jump” in the microphone like he always does. It was really funny to see that. He went off stage for only a second and apparently changed his mind, cause he ran on stage again till CPN finished their set. Than Jared thanked CPN and went off stage.
I was exhausted after that and we still had 30STM to go. The security guards didn’t give us any water and it was kinda hard to stay at the barrier. I actually think I almost fainted for a bit. And the worst part was that we had fangirls behind us who tried to get to the barrier by kicking and screaming.
It was finally time for 30STM and I must say that this was the best setlist they played on this tour.
When 30STM came on stage, they had the same setlist as the previous shows. I still love seeing Shannon play the guitar with “L490”. The acoustic part was a bit different though. Jared started with “Hurricane”. After that it changed. He played “Message in a Bottle” for us and after that he played “Capricorn” I actually thought he was done with his acoustic, but I was wrong. He played “Echelon” and even “The Mission” as well. I guess he did see my banner. When the acoustic part was done the setlist was pretty much the same again. Till we saw Tomo putting on a red light on his head. I guess Tomo saw that we kept our promise of rocking out the whole show that they played “Stranger In A Strange Land”. I couldn’t believe they played it. I was stunned the rest of the set and still I have trouble believing it all and I was actually there.
After the gig we stayed at the back for a while and we hang out with SDC. I heard Shannon was sick and needed to go back to the hotel immediately, I understood why he was a bit grumpy the last couple of days. I talked to Tyler for a while and after that Adam came out as well for a bit. I thanked Eddy again, but I couldn’t thank him enough for the things he had done for me the whole tour.
After a while we went back to the hotel and I was dead. I slept right away, cause I was tired from all that touring. I was actually glad it was over and at the same time sad. I had to get back to my life back in The Netherlands.

We arrived in Milan when the doors were already open. I had to go to the box office to get my ticket. When I got there I gave them my name and I received my ticket and there was a little surprise in it too. Eddy tour manager from SDC had given me backstage passes, because it was my Birthday. THANK YOU SDC!!!! I went inside with my friends who were waiting for me and we went to the photo booth where we took a picture with us all. Jean even made me a banner.
Inside we gotten backstage and talked to Brian for a bit. We went further and saw Shannon. I talked to him for a bit, but I could see he wasn’t himself. I actually thought for a bit that he disliked me. So, I just went back to my friends. There I was just in time for SDC.
When SDC came on we jumped and danced, but we didn’t have much room. So, we went to the back and we had all the room we needed to go crazy. We were actually jumping like little kids. It was so much fun. The setlist of SDC was the same as the previous days. I still love the add of “I Miss You”. It’s a really great song.
When CPN came on I looked for a spot to see 30STM really well and we found a spot on the balcony. When we were standing there I saw Eddy walking and I yelled at him to thank him. When he came over I thanked him properly and he ask me if I was surprised. I really was and I couldn’t thank him enough.
When 30STM came on I had room to move and dance around. It was good to see the show from the side for a change. The setlist was pretty much the same. I did see a lot of stuff you don’t see from the front. Mostly stuff in the back. I was so stoked when I heard “L490” and than Jared acoustic part. When they played “The Fantasy” I heard a part of Nine Inch Nails “Closer” and it felt like I was back in London in 2008 again. It was a great feeling. Than Jared went crazy for a bit, but eventually he played “Kings and Queens”.
When the show was over I went to the back area. We waited till the guys finally came for the meet and greet. When they came to the door the guys recognized us, but they went to the “Fangirls” first. Shannon was the first to come to us. He didn’t stay long. He did take a photo with me and signed my faces of mars cover.

Jared was the second to come to us and we talked to him for a bit and when he found out it was my Birthday he hugged me and sang “Happy Birthday” for me. Also he took a photo with me and signed my cover. He actually recognized that I was on the cover and he started talking about his idea to buy your own cover online. Which I totally like. That way people don’t have to search all stores for there own face. After that he had to leave.

Tomo came to us right after Jared had left. He actually stayed the longest. We asked him why they didn’t play “Stranger InA Strange Land’ and he told us that every time the played the song the audience look like the photo below. We asked him if we changed that and promise him that we will make everyone rock out if he’d play the song for us. He said if we can make the crowd rock out from beginning to end he might consider playing it, cause he’s the one in charge of the setlist and Jared is the one who actually decide on the spot if they play the song or not. He wanted to leave after a while, but when he heard it was my Birthday he started to sing “Happy Birthday” to me and my friends joined him. He also took a photo with me and signed my cover. Also he saw it was me on the cover and thought it was cool that I found it. I said to him that Nikki found it for me. Then he actually had to leave.

After that I was trying to find SDC to thank them, but I couldn’t see them anywhere and I had to go to my car before the parking garage closed. I don’t know if the guys came out afterwards.

We went to the venue early on. It was the same venue as in 2008. A few of our friends were already there and holding our spot. The tour bus was behind the venue and I went there to see if I saw anybody walking there. It wasn’t long before I saw Bobby walking. I yelled to him, but I guess he didn’t hear it. I went back to the queue and we ordered pizza. Which was actually brought to the queue. Then doors opened and because of Michael I got barrier.
We were really excited to hear SDC play. It was Michael’s first concert in Europe and I already made him crazy before we went to the show. It was time. SDC came on and we started to rock out. As the previous days the setlist was the same including the song “I Miss You”. I was in a crazy mood and I did the same thing Adam always does when he drums. When he jumped I did too at the same moment. Because I had seen them so many times before I knew exactly what he was going to do.
Okay, CPN time. As usual I didn’t enjoy it, but Michael liked it. It was weird and I told him that he is crazy if he liked it and I basically forbid him to enjoy it. But he didn’t listen to me. That Elise told me that the songs were actually sticking in her head, because she had seen them too many times too. I thought I was in the twilight zone.
Eventually 30STM came on and everything was back to normal. Normal meaning we all liked the songs . The beginning of the setlist was the same as the previous days. The acoustic part was different. Jared started out on keyboard with “Hurricane”. Than he played “Alibi” on keyboard as well. Than he decided to play another song and the acoustic guitar came on stage and he played “Revenge”. The rest of the setlist was kinda the same as the previous days.
After the show we all met up at the merch booth. Also there was SDC signing posters. I saw Brian handing them out and I asked him if I should help him. Also I asked if Frank was around and he didin’t know. He said if I continued handing out posters he would search for him. When he came back he said he couldn’t find Frank, which was a shame. Michael wanted to get autographs from SDC and he was hanging all over me. Which was a good thing. When Adam saw me he said “Happy Birthday”. I told him it was tomorrow and he didn’t care at all. After we had to leave I went outside to the tour bus area, but we didn’t see anyone come out and we went away. Later we heard that Shannon and Jared had come out.

We arrived in Vienna early in the morning. We were the first ones there and we didn’t know where the entrance was. I guess we circled the venue about 4 or 5 times till we finally found the entrance to the car park. When we got out of the car park we were right in front of the tour bus. Leave it up to me to have a radar for the tour bus . To find the entrance to the venue was a hard thing to do to. When we finally found it we sad down there for awhile. Also I twisted my ankle and I couldn’t walk very far anymore. Elise went to get some food and see if there was a place where you could get some tape to wrap my ankle in. She found something and I wrapped it around my ankle.
When the doors had to open we were moved back and I got staked a few times by the barrierwhich the security guards put in front of us. The doors finally opened and we went inside. I managed to get barrier and I held a spot for Elise. When she came I squeezed her in and we all were good and ready for the show.
SDC was first again and we had so much fun with them. As the setlist was the same again with the song “I Miss You” added I could sing along with the songs again. I actually managed to get the people around me to jump and dance with me. I think the guys saw that, but I can’t be sure.
When CPN came on I again felt all my energy drained. I have to say it again!! I don’t like CPN. Even the people around me talked among themselves and it was easier to shut out the songs this night. It was also over remotely quick, because we weren’t listening.
Finally 30STM time. Because our energy was drained by CPN it took me awhile to get into it. But when SDC came on stage during “Vox Populi” I was totally into the music again. I loved the fact that Jared did “Alibi” again during his acoustic set. I wasn’t counting on it, but he did play it.
After the gig I helped out SDC again, but we didn’t stay long after. I was too tired and we just went back to the hotel.
